The National Regulatory System for Community Housing is designed to cover providers of community housing, which includes indigenous community housing.
Indigenous housing providers contribute to a strong, diverse community housing sector and their participation in the national system is welcomed.
Providers that are successfully registered under the NRSCH will be recognised nationally by governments, investors and tenants as meeting and maintaining high standards of governance and management.
There is no obligation for any housing provider to be registered under the national system. However, individual government policy and funding agencies may make registration a precondition for receiving funding or investment and for delivering funded housing services in their state or territory.
Contact the housing agency in your state or territory for more information about their policies or to discuss the alternatives to national registration.
Contact the Office of the Registrar in your state or territory for advice or assistance in applying for registration.
